1 Nisan 5776

Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the Earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this Sabbath day, this first day of the first month, and the wonders the new month brings.  Thank you for blessing me with one more opportunity to spend time with those I love and to be your light to the nations.

Thank you for blessing me with all the people in my life.  Thank you for my wife whom I love, and who is truly a gift straight from your heart.  I cherish her and recognize your love flowing within her.  Thank you for the three wonderful sons who bless me every day.  Thank you for making them fine young men who are kind and respectful, for granting them wisdom to follow you - whether they know it or not.  Thank you for bringing me into a family that is full of love and understanding.  Thank you for my friends who desire to be close to you.  Thank you for blessing me with a job to support my family and to have the ability and opportunity to help others who may need an extra hand.

Thank you for blessing this world with the wisdom in your Torah.  Thank you for providing us a means to understand what sin is, and the dangers of falling into the trap of those sins.  Thank you for delivering us from the bondage of Egypt and setting us free in your spirit.  Thank you for bringing us to a place in your Kingdom where your glory resides.

Thank you for loving us so much that you gave us your begotten son, and sacrificed him so that we may have eternal life.  Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and for placing your Torah in my heart.  Thank you for your light, your truth, your wisdom, your mercies, your patience, and your love.

Blessed are you O Lord our God who gave us this Sabbath Day so that we may remember that He is our Living God.

Amen!
