Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, for breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and to be your light to the world. Father, I pray you grant me strength and wisdom to walk out your word today, and that every thought I have and action I take brings glory to your name.
Father, I pray you comfort the loving arms of all those families who have lost loved ones that died in the defense of me. I ask that you bless them with your love, and that the souls of those soldiers are brought into your Kingdom. Please comfort the children who have lost mothers and fathers to war. Please bless the husbands and wives whose spouses sacrificed of themselves. Please grant them peace in their hearts all the days of their lives.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who brings comfort to those who mourn the sacrifices others make so we shall live.
