Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your glorious name be praised in the heavens above and on the Earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, for breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and to be your light to the world. Thank you for bringing Alex to us this morning and for the chance to be with him during his time of need. Father, I pray you grant me the strength and wisdom to know your word and to walk your word all the day long. I pray that every word I speak and every action I take brings glory to your name, and that at some point today there will be something I do that helps to make someone else's life a little bit better.
Father, I cry tears today for all your children lost in the needless murder of the Holocaust. I pray for those who lost loved ones, and for those who survived, but have those awful memories. Please Father, do not bring that judgment on your children again, and keep the evil that causes death far away from us. Please guard us and protect us from those who wish to harm us, and drive evil from our midst.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who delivers His people from evil.
