20 Av 5777

Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this Sabbath day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world.  Thank you for blessing me with the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love.  Thank you for blessing me with a heart of mercy and filled with your peace.

Father, your greatness is unsearchable.  Your miracles are with us daily, and your kingdom shines all around us.  You created us in your own image, and we fell into sin, but through your grace and mercy - through the sacrifice of your son, Yeshua - you removed the sin from our lives and brought us back to you and your garden.  Through your grace and your mercy you gift us with your holy spirit, to lead us and guide us while we remain in this great exile.  I am so grateful that when this exile has ended, that my descendants will have a place in your Kingdom, for haven't you said that I will bless them for a thousand generations?  Father, your promises are everlasting, and I am so grateful that I have the knowledge that my children's children can enter into your glory.  Father, you are the first and your are the last, besides you we have no King or Redeemer.  You are our God and we are you people, my heart is yours and I am your servant.

Blessed are you O Lord our God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, who Was, who Is, and who Will Always Be, who blesses his people with this sign of His Sabbath day.

Amen!
