Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, and thank you for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light to the world. Father, I ask that you grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to spread your love. Please grant me a heart of forgiveness so that I may love mercy as you do. Please bless me with a humble heart so that I may never forget your glory and your grace. Help me be a servant to your people and guide my path with your love. You are the first and you are the last, you are my King and my Redeemer. Thank you for saving me from the debt of my sin, and I am so grateful that your son paid the penalty for me. Please guide me in your righteousness so that His sacrifice will not have been in vain.
Father, please forgive all those who are celebrating Christmas today. They just do not know what they are doing, they are following man instead of you, but so many love you and they are just living with the scales over their eyes. You, Lord, can remove those scales, you can help them see the errors of their ways, but for now, please just be merciful with them for they know not what they do.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who forgives us continually for the iniquity of our flesh.
