Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light to the world. Father, I ask that you grant me the wisdom and the strength to walk in your word and to show your love. May your light ever shine through me, and may you bless me with a forgiving heart. Please keep me humble in my ways and guide me down your narrow path. May your face never be removed from before me, and may all my waters be still.
Father please forgive this nation for its leadership (or lack thereof) as they have turned their back on you and your people. They speak out against peace and for terror, they hide their eyes to the righteous and they lift up the wicked. Father, thank you for showing this nation what it's like to live in a land where the wicked rule. May this nation never again turn toward the unrighteous and may we always lift up good, love, peace, and above all, your good name.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who corrects those whom He loves.
