26 Nissan 5777

Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised throughout the heavens above and the earth below forever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this Sabbath day, the 7th day of the counting of the Omer, and the first Sabbath of the counting.  Thank you for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world.  Thank you for giving me such a wonderful family who are full of love and compassion.  Thank you for bringing Kim into my life, and through her, bringing me back to you.  Thank you for your loving mercies and forgiving me the brokenness of my body and lifting me in my spirit bringing peace to my soul.  Thank you for the gift of your Torah, your word containing all your wisdom and given with all your love.  Thank you for saving me from my sin, from the chaos that surrounded my life, and thank you for hearing my prayers.  Thank you loving me so much that you gave us your son so that I may have eternal life.  Thank you for showing me how to live in your Kingdom, and for placing me on the narrow path.

You are a great and loving God who finds all his children wherever they are.  You delivered us from bondage in Egypt with an outstretched arm and a mighty hand.  You brought us to the land that you promised our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who believed in your promise and for that you considered them righteous.  Father, you grant us your mercies even though we are undeserving of your forgiveness.  You truly show me how to be a person who shows unconditional love, the greatest kind of love there is.  Thank you for revealing to me those things you want me to know, and for leading me in the direction you want me to go.  I am forever grateful to you my Lord, my love is yours.

Blessed are you O Lord our God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob who blesses us with this Sabbath day.

Amen!
