Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below forever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, the 44th day of the counting of the omer. Thank you for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world. Father, I pray you grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love. Please fill my heart with mercy so that I may be forgiving to others just as you have been with me. I am so grateful for your strength, your wisdom, and your love. You have blessed me with your presence and I beg that you never remove your face from before me.
Father, please bless all the souls who have died in battle, in service to someone else. Their hearts may or may not have been in the fight, but their lives sure were lost just the same. But through your grace and your mercy, you can welcome those fallen soldiers into your Kingdom. You can lift them up and set a place for them at your table. Please let those souls that they are not forgotten, and their sacrifice is appreciated. Please grant comfort to the families that have been left behind, and who now belong to you. For you are the guardian of the widow and the orphan, and through your son, they shall have life.
Blessed are you O Lord our God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob who protects the widow and the orphan.
