Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my God and may your name be praised throughout the heavens and on the earth forever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this Shabbat day, a day you gave to us as a sign that you are our God and we are your special treasure. Thank you for blessing me with one more chance to spend the day with those I love and to be your light to the nations.
Thank you for all the blessings you given me in my life, for all the love you have shown me, and for all the mercy you have graced me with. I am so grateful to you my Lord for being in my life, for being my God. Your mercies are never ending, and your light never dims. You always know my heart, even when I don't know my own and you fill my life with your light.
Thank you for blessing me with a family that is filled with love and with your spirit. Thank you for giving me a wife who lights up a room with the love she has for you. Thank you for 3 wonderful children who are kind and giving. Thank you for blessing me with an occupation that provides our home, our food, and the opportunity to travel this beautiful world you have created.
Thank you for your gift of the Torah. This is your word, your truth and my guide to life. Your truth is absolute and your miracles are never ending. Your love and wisdom ooze forth and your spirit reveals to us those things you want revealed. Thank you for this Sabbath day and for giving it to us to remember you and to remember that it is you who leads and it is we who must follow.
Thank you for loving us so much that you gave us your only begotten son, Yeshua our Messiah, to die for us, to pay the debt of our sins, so that we may have eternal life. Father, and Yeshua, I am so sorry we transgressed so much that you were forced to make this sacrifice. Thank you for doing this for me, and for accepting me into your kingdom where I may dwell with you forever and ever.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who gave us this Sabbath day as sign between us that it is He whom we serve.
Amen!
