Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this Sabbath day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world. Thank you for granting me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to spread your love. Thank you for all your mercies and forgiving me the debt of my sins. Thank you for washing me clean with your spirit, for placing a heart of love within me. Thank you for taking notice of me and my family. Thank you for guarding us from the evil in this world, for keeping the darkness from our doorsteps and from our hearts. Thank you for giving us our Messiah, for leading us from the nations and back to you. Thank you for the gift of your Torah, our tree of life.
You are a mighty and gracious God, full of grace and compassion. You made a promise to our ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to make them a mighty nation, and lead them to the land you promised, a land flowing with milk and honey. You heard the crying out of your children while they were in bondage in Egypt, and you kept your promise and delivered them with all of your glory. You continue to keep all of your promises, and you have granted an answer to our prayers to give this nation a chance to return to you. Father, your wonders and your miracles are with us each and every day. Your spirit covers this earth, and your goodness and wonders rain down on us. All the glory in this world is yours my Lord, all love, kindness, joy, and wisdom are yours and we have nothing without you. You are our God, and we are your children.
Blessed are you O Lord our God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, who blesses us with this Sabbath day.
Amen!
