Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord, and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for blessing me with this Sabbath day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world. Thank you for blessing me with health, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, patience, love, joy, and a peaceful spirit which you placed within me. Thank you keeping your face in front of me, and guiding my steps along your path. Thank you for protecting me, my family, and my home from the evil in this world. Thank you for guarding us while we are in the nations.
Thank you for delivering us from the hard bondage in Egypt to the freedom across the sea. Thank you for giving us the promise of a land filled with milk and honey, a land where we could settle in and make a home dedicated to you. Thank you for the gift of your Torah, it contains the same wisdom that you used to create all we know. Thank you for loving us so much that you sent us your only begotten so that we may have eternal life. When he was sacrificed it was through his blood that the debt of our sin was paid. Thank you for redeeming us through your Son, and thank you for forgiving us and bringing us back home.
You are the One true God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. You delivered us from Egypt so that you can be our God, and we your people. You declared that we are your Special Treasure, and you care for us even when we don't think we deserve it. You are our heavenly father, our King, our Salvation. You are the Living God who loves his children forever.
Blessed are you O Lord our God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, who blesses his children with this Sabbath day.
Amen!
