14 Elul 5776

Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this Sabbath day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love, and one more chance to be your light to the world.  Thank you for leading me down the path you have set for me.  Thank you for leading me beside the still water and for making my crooked path straight.  Thank you for loving me and for forgiving me my shortcomings, and thank you for granting me a forgiving heart.  Thank you for blessing me with the gift of your Torah, and for bringing me to your Kingdom.  Thank you for redeeming me, and saving me through your son Yeshua, our Messiah, our King, our Salvation.  Thank you for giving us this Sabbath day, a day to rest from our work and bond with each other, and you.

Blessed are you O Lord our God who is the creator of all things and whose glory goes out before all.

Amen!
