Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend time with those I love and one more chance to be your light to the world.  Father, please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to spread your love.  I pray that you protect me, my family, and my home from all the evil of this world.  I ask that you remove temptation from our lives.  Father, please grant me a forgiving heart so that I may be merciful with others as you have been merciful to me.

Please help us Father.  This world has turned away from you and evil has sprung up among us.  We are experiencing life as in the days of Noah, and the people are living as they did in Sodom and Gomorrah.  People do what is right in their own eyes and the leaders of our world have walked us right into this trap.  All that you say is evil is now good in this world, and all that is good is now evil.  We need your help my Lord, for you are the only one who can save us from this mess that has become the human race.  Please open the eyes and the hearts of the people and help them to remember your face.  Help them remember that you are our God and we are your people.  Help them to remember the mighty hand and your wondrous deeds.  Help them to remember the blessings and the goodness that you provide, and how you can bring us peace if we just follow you.

Blessed are you O Lord our God who saves us with an outstretched arm and a mighty hand.
