Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this Sabbath day, first day of the 8th month, the month of Cheshvan. Thank you for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world. Thank you for blessing me with the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love. Thank you for granting me a spirit of mercy so that I may forgive others, and thank you for forgiving me. Thank you for helping me develop a spirit of patience, and increasing my faith in you daily. Thank you for taking notice of me, and calling me into your covenant. Thank you for revealing to me the beauty of your world, and blessing me with the opportunity to travel throughout your creation. Thank you for protecting me and my family from the evil in this world, and for guiding my steps along your path. Thank you for sending us your son to be our light and to bring us back to your word and understand your truth.
You are the Lord of Hosts, the first and the last, the creator of all creation. You chose us to be your special treasure, and you promised us a land flowing with milk and honey. You delivered us from bondage in Egypt and delivered us into that land. You are full of love and grace, slow to anger, just and righteous. Your commands are full of your love, and your path leads to your Kingdom. You are my God and I am your humble servant. Thank you for my life.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who blesses us with life and peace on this Sabbath day.
Amen!
