21 Tishrei 5778

Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this day, the seventh and last day of Sukkot.  Thank you for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world.  Father, please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love.  Please fill my heart with mercy so that I may be forgiving with others just as you have been forgiving with me.  Thank you for all your mercies and for looking kindly on this once broken spirit, but now my spirit is filled with your love, and your light.  I pray that you never remove that light from within me, and that your face remains before me all the days of my life.  Please continue to guide my steps along the path you have set, never moving them to the left or the right, but keeping me on the path to your Kingdom.

Father, you are truly a marvelous and righteous God.  You are indeed slow to anger, and full of love, mercy, and grace.  You heard the cries from your people when they were in bondage in Egypt and you remembered us, and the promise you made to our ancestor Abraham.  You sent us your servant to deliver us from bondage and he indeed came and led us out from captivity and into freedom.  But, through your wisdom, you kept us in the wilderness for some time, until our faith in you was greater than the fear of the unknown.  Father, you set that faith within us, and I beg that you once again hear our cries.  We are pawns in a spiritual battle between you and the Enemy.  We need you my Lord, we need your wisdom, we need your judgments, and we need your mercy and your grace.  Father, please take notice of your children, and help us to walk in your light.  We are not people of darkness, and you are the only one who can open the eyes, and rip the veils from over the hearts of your children here on earth.  Please my God, hear our cries.

Blessed are you O Lord our God who hears his people and remembers them.

Amen!
