Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, for blessing me with one more chance to be a better servant to you, a better husband to my wife, and a better father to my children. Thank you for the opportunity to spend one more day with those I love, and one more day to be your light to the world.
Father, I pray you grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your righteous word today. may you reveal to me those thing you want me to know, and may you lead me on the path you want me to go. Father, please place in me a forgiving heart, and I grant mercy on others as you have been so gracious to grant it on me. Please keep my tongue from the evil sins of gossip, and may it speak the truth that comes from you. I beg that you remove temptation from my life, and that you keep evil away. For you are my light, and with you the darkness vanishes.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who delivers us from bondage, and places within us a heart filled with His love.
