Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the Earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing life to my soul on this day, thank you for one more chance to spend time with those I love, and to be your light to the world. Father I pray that you humble my soul, and that you keep your face in front of me for all my days. May your light be the light that shines from me, and may your words, your truth and your wisdom guide my thoughts and my works all the days of my life.
Father, I ask that you strengthen and guard my wife Kim. Please let your spirit pour forth from her, and may you always guide her thoughts and her deeds. May you bring shalom to her life, and may she be radiant in your glory for ever and ever.
Father, please deliver your children from the hate and violence proliferating through this world. I pray you unite us, and to stop allowing the division to take root within our lives. I've never seen so much hatred as I have these last few years. I've never seen such a population so focused on making sure that if they don't have something, then nobody else can have it either - Father, covetousness has taken hold, and it is dividing the people. They have not listened to your words, and have brought your curses down on us. Please, Father, may you not destroy the wheat with the tares. I beg you separate us out, and deliver us from evil.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who separates the wheat from the tares and lifts the wheat up to him for all eternity.
