Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world. Father, please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to spread your love. Please place within me a heart filled with mercy so that I may be forgiving to others as abundantly as you have forgiven me. Please guard my tongue and let my mouth speak words of sympathy, of appreciation, and of praise. For you are our one true living God. You have performed wonders and miracles to save us from the bondage of our flesh and to return us to your garden. You have spent years and years gathering your people, and you still gather them from the four corners of this world into your Kingdom. Your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, filled with your love and your light. You have molded us into the people you want us to be, and you have blessed us with the ability to choose life or death. Father, I choose life. I choose to walk in your way, your truth, and your life. I choose to bow down to you as my God, and I choose to recognize my King, your son whom you have given dominion over the heaven and earth, who rules at your right hand. I choose to place my trust in you and to follow you where you lead. But, I ask one thing of you my God, that you never remove your face from before, that you are always present with me all the days of my life, and that I never again have to face the evil in this world alone. You are my salvation, and you are my God.
Blessed are you O Lord our God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, who protects his children and leads them to his Kingdom.
