13 Adar 5777

Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this Sabbath day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world.  Thank you for blessing me with a family full of love for you and for each other.  Thank you for blessing me with a job that makes a difference in this world and enables me to provide for my family and help others.  Thank you for filling my life with peace and for blessing me with a discerning heart.  Thank you for opening my eyes to the beauty of your miracles and wonders of your creation.

We are your clay and you are the Potter.  You have created the heavens above, and the earth below.  You gave us your Torah, and showed us how to create your tabernacle.  You loved us so much and Father, I apologize for the choice that Eve made, that she listened to that serpent.  For disobedience is the opening for sin, and I am so blessed to understand more fully every day how to close that door.  Father, may your glory reign forever and may your Kingdom be everlasting.

Blessed are you O Lord our God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, who blesses his children with this Sabbath day.

Amen!
