Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this day, for making the rain fall, and for breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing with one more day to spend with those I love and to be your light to the world.  Father, I pray that you grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word on this day.  May every thought I think, every word I speak, and every action I take bring honor and glory to your name.  May your love shine through me, and may no evil abide in my soul.  I pray that your spirit never leaves me and that your face is in front of me all the days of my life.

Father, I pray for this country I live in.  It is no longer a country based on your blessings, but has turned into a land that you abhor.  Just as in the days of Noah, this land is now practicing lawlessness.  Your word has no meaning to the leadership of this once great nation, and I feel as the Hebrews must have felt when they were occupied by the Greeks, and the Romans.  But, I rejoice in the fact that I have your truth, your Torah, and I have your love.  I rejoice that your plan is being carried out, and that I am safe in your Spirit.  I just ask that your judgments be merciful and that the suffering of the unfaithful is not too harsh.

Blessed are you O Lord our God who is merciful, and who saves us from the great destruction.
