Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for waking me this day, for breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light to the world. I pray you grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word, to spread your love, and to follow your spirit. I beg for your protection so evil does not enter my soul. I pray you remove temptation from my lie to keep me far from sin, and allow me to walk righteously in your path. I ask that you guide me in my walk and that all thing I do I do in honor of your name. Glory to you my God for your mercies are never ending, and I ask that you place in me a forgiving heart so that I too may be merciful to others.
Father, there is yet another night of unrest in our country, another example where law has been forgotten and man does what is right in his own eye. Father, please deliver us from the bondage of pride that causes division. Please defeat the enemy on our doorstep and don't let him reign any longer here on earth. Father, please, it's time to lock him in that pit and bring us to your promised land of peace. It's time for us to be rid of the anger, the anguish, and the inhumanity that this world fostering. Deliver us into the land flowing with milk and honey, a place where your peace is ever present and where you reign for ever and ever.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who raises the wicked only so that they may be destroyed forever.
