1 Shevat 5777

Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this Sabbath day and this new month, for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light to the world.  Thank you for blessing me with the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word.  Thank you for granting me a heart filled with mercy so that I may forgive others, just as you have forgiven me.  Thank you for the gift of a family that is filled with love for you and for each other.  Thank you for protecting us from the evil in this world and covering us with your blessings and love.  Thank you for the gift of your Torah, for I would not know sin without it, and for revealing to me the truth of the spirit of your word.  Thank you for loving me so much that you sent us your only begotten son so that I may have eternal life in your Kingdom.  You are truly a mighty and loving God, full of love, full of mercy, full of patience, and full of righteousness.  Thank you for being in my life and for the blessings you have given to me.

Blessed are you O Lord our God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, who blesses all His people with this Sabbath day.

Amen!
