Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised throughout the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world. Father, please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love. Please fill my soul with mercy so that I may be forgiving to others just as you have been forgiving with me. Father, may I never lose sight of your face and may your light guide my steps along the path that you have laid for me. Thank you for freeing me from the debt of my sins and may you continue to bless me with your presence all the days of my life.
Father, please guard and protect those who fight for me, those who put their lives on the line every day so that I may be free to follow you. Father, I ask that you watch over our men and women who fight for this nation, and for those who fight for the land of Israel. I pray you keep the blade far from them, that the bullets fly by them without hitting them. I pray that you bring peace into their souls so that they are not troubled by the tasks they must perform. These people fight for you my God and for our nation. They put themselves in harms way because they not only protect our freedom here in this nation, but they are the only hope for your children who live in these war-torn areas. Father, I pray your hand is on them and your strength will keep them safe. Please bring your children home and bless them with your presence.
Blessed are you O Lord our God the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob who wins the battles for our soldiers who sacrifice for us.
