Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world.  Father, please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love.  Please fill me with mercy so that I may be forgiving to all people who transgress against me.  Please fill me with patience so that I may have understanding of others and learn to not bring offense to them.

Father, I your glory fills the heavens and the earth.  Your light shines on your people and all of your creation.  You continue to mold us into the vessels you want us to be and every one of your creations is perfect in your eyes.  Thank you for keeping your promises to us and for guarding us and protecting us from the evil in this world.  Thank you for bringing us to your kingdom and for bringing peace into our lives.  But Father, today we are living in times such as we haven't seen since the days of Noah, or Sodom, or Gomorrah.  People are doing whatever is right in their own eyes, rather than understanding how love comes from doing what's right in your eyes.  People are choosing their own path rather than the path you have set out for them.  They have found for themselves other gods who provide them with nothing, yet they continue to call upon them.  Father, I pray for your mercy on these people for they do not know what it is they are doing.  They have not grown up with you and they have turned away from your love, your mercy, and your grace.  But through your miracles my Lord you can call them back to you.  You can lift their eyes up to the heavens and you can place it in their hearts to see your glory in all its fullness.  You can bring your people back Father with just one call, for the sheep know the voice of their shepherd.  Father, please deliver your people from their sins and bring them all into your kingdom where peace reigns through love.

Blessed are you O Lord our God the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob who loves all his children, and gives all of us a chance to return to Him.
