Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world. Father, please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love. Please fill my heart with mercy so that I may be forgiving with others just as you have been forgiving with me. Father, I beg you not to remove your face from before and to guide my steps along the path to your Kingdom.
Father, I pray for mercy on all the people who have been left homeless and stranded on all those islands affected by the hurricane. Please watch over them and allow the help they will need to reach them. Please bless all the people who volunteer to help those affected by your great wrath. Please protect those who are still in the path of this mighty storm, especially my mother and sister who are riding out this storm in their home. Father, please place your hedge of protection over them and their community. May the storm pass them by and may their services remain in tact. Please guide this storm away from land and deter the disaster that is ahead.
Blessed are you O Lord our God the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob who protects His children.
