18 Kislev 5778

Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world.  Father, please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love.  Please fill my heart with mercy so that I may be forgiving with others just as you have been forgiving with me.  I pray that all my weights are balanced and all my scales fair, so that my judgments are made righteously and fairly.  Father, may you never remove your face from before me and may you continue to guide my steps along the path you have set, keeping my feet from turning to the right or the left.  Your grace and your glory lead my way, and may I never waiver in the faith and trust I have in you.

Father, please help those souls, your children, who are being sold into slavery in Libya and across the world.  Please rescue them and save them from the plight they are living.  I pray that you deliver them to freedom and lay low those who market human flesh as if it were something to be bartered or sold.  For you have raised up  the wicked to display your power to those who may believe in you.  You save your people with an outstretched arm and a mighty hand, and free them from their bondage.  You are our salvation and you are our redeemer.  You are the one with the power, the glory, and the grace to bring peace into this world.  Father, I pray that you protect our brothers and sisters in Jerusalem and around the world today as our great nation once again recognizes the place where you have made your name rest as the center of our hearts.  I ask that you stave off any killings, harm, and destruction that the enemy places in the hearts of those who wish to destroy you and the land of your name.  Please keep peace in Jerusalem, and may your name once again be lifted high on the mountain you call home.

Blessed are you O Lord our God who chose Jerusalem to make his name known.

Amen!
