Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world. Father, please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love. Please fill my heart with mercy so that I may be forgiving with others just as you have been forgiving with me. Father, may I never forget the wonders and miracles you did for my ancestors and for me. You have freed us from the bondage of our sins and placed your Kingdom within our hearts. You rescued us and redeemed us; you brought us back to you and your spirit. Father, thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit, a piece of your glory to lead my steps along your path. You are my God, and I am your servant.
Father, please help those who are today, walking in darkness. They do not have your light within them and they are wicked and cruel. But through your wonders and miracles, you can crack the veil that covers their heart. You can make those who are blind, see. One little crack is all it takes to bring light to the darkness, and your light will overpower the evil that is in their souls. Father, please call your people to you and save them from the wickedness of their spirit. Show them the love you have for them and turn them from their evil ways, and turn the darkness into light.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who overpowers the darkness with his light and fills our hearts with love, peace, mercy, and joy.
