Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light to the world. I pray you grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word today. I pray you grant me a forgiving heart so that I may grant mercy to others as freely as you have granted it to me. I ask that you protect me, my family, and my home from all the evil in this world, and that temptation is removed from our lives. I ask Father, that if it be your will, that you never remove your face from before me, and that you keep my eyes on your light, and that your love will flow through me and brighten this world.
Father, please grant mercy to the Carter family. Help them through this time of sorrow that is approaching. Please ease their pain and comfort them in your arms. Drive the evil away from them and may they always find their love and strength in you.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who grants mercy on those to whom He wishes to have mercy granted.
