Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your glorious name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light to the world.  I pray you grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love.  I ask that you continue to protect me, my family, and my home from the evil in this world, and that you remove temptation from our lives.  Father, I pray that all of our crooked paths are made straight and that you grant us a life of peace and happiness beside your still waters.  Above all Father, I pray that we continue to provide a home filled with love where your spirit will always abide.

Thank you Father for answering my prayer yesterday by showing your mercy on this country.  Thank you for giving us a chance to repent and show you how much you mean to us, and how much we turn to you for our salvation.  I pray now that you open the hearts of those who were so closed hearted during this election.  I pray that you bring us together in unity as a nation, and that we never again elect leaders who turn the people away from you.  May you always guard and protect us, and may your blessing rain down on us and let us grow stronger under your Kingship.  You are the power and the glory of this nation, and I pray the people of this country embrace this opportunity to repent and return to your good grace.  You are glorious in all your workings my Lord, and I am so grateful for you in our lives.

Blessed are you O Lord our God who selects the leaders of the nations for His purpose and for His will.
