Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this Sabbath day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love, and one more chance to be your light in this world. Thank you for granting me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word. Thank you for blessing me with a forgiving heart so that I may have the pleasure of granting mercy to others - it really is a great feeling to be merciful. Thank you for protecting me and my family with all your strength. Thank you for correcting me when I commit error, and thank you for forgiving me.
You are the creator of the heavens above and the earth below. You created the stars, the sun, the moon and then you set them in motion so that we would have a sense of time. You even told us that these are for signs as to your times. You are full of wisdom and you are full of love. You are the one who directs my steps, and you are the one who lights my path. Father, I am so grateful to you for all your blessings and all your attention. I am so thankful for the sacrifice you made for me, and for leading me back into a true relationship with you. Everything I do I recognize your glory in it. You are the first, and you are the last. Besides you we have no King or Redeemer.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who blessed us with this Sabbath day, because on this day we are reminded to rest in His Spirit.
