Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light to the world. I pray you grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word. I pray that you grant me a forgiving heart so that I may be merciful with others as you have been merciful with me. May I never forget how grateful I am for the blessings you have granted me in my lifetime. May I never waste one minute in anger, and may you remove all the darkness from life.
Father, please judge this nation with all your righteousness, but I ask that you remember your promises, and be merciful with those who walk in your light. Just as you saved Lot, may you also save your children who try to live an honest and righteous life while living in a nation that is corrupt, condones sexual immortality, and allows the murder of so many innocent children. You have set us apart so that we may be your light, and Father, your light needs to shine brighter than ever. May you choose the proper leader for our nation to bring this nation in the direction you would like it to travel. But most of all Father, please, do not remove your face from us, so that we may always be secure in your grace.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who raises up the wicked only so they may be destroyed forever.
