Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world.  Please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love.  Please fill my heart with mercy so that I may be forgiving with others just as you have been forgiving with me.  Father, I beg you never remove your face from before me and continue to guide my steps on your path, keeping my feet from turning to the right or the left.  Father, your glory lights my way and your grace makes my heart sing.  You provide me my bread and your wisdom is my strength.  Thank you for being in my life and leading me back to you in your righteousness.

Your strength and wonders are beyond my comprehension.  You are the one who keeps the sea from the land.  You are the one who causes the rain to fall.  You are the one who lifts the birds in the sky and causes the fish to swim.  You created man in your image, and you are the one who breathed life into our souls.  Father, we are nothing compared to you, our life is short like a flower in its season.  But you my Lord are forever.  You know no ends, and your touch reaches across this world and those yet to come.  Through you we have been redeemed, and our souls cleaned.  You have set our paths in front of us and you place our feet on that path.  But you have left it to us to take the first step.  You set before us blessings and curses, life and death; and you asked us to choose one or the other.  I am so grateful to you that you opened my heart so that I am able to choose the beautiful, peaceful, wonderful life that you have so gracefully blessed me with.

Blessed are you O Lord our God who is the creator of the heavens and earth and all that is contained within.
