Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this Sabbath day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world. Thank you for granting me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love. Thank you for filling my heart with mercy so that I can be forgiving with others just as you are forgiving with me. Thank you for blessing me with your spirit, and with my family. Your grace is beyond compare and your wisdom is in all your works.
Thank you for loving me and for blessing my life. Thank you for your gift of my wife. She is a blessing from your heart and has made me one with you. Your mercies are never ending. Thank you for blessing me with three wonderful sons who are good, decent, kind people; and thank you for watching over all of us and for protecting us from the evil one who is out to turn the world away from you. Your strength guards us forever. Thank you for bringing peace and joy into my life, and for blessing me with the discernment to judge right from wrong and for being able to judge with a righteous heart. Truly, your weights and measures are fair and balanced. Father, you delivered us from a life filled with sin, to a life filled with peace and love in your spirit.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who blesses us with this Sabbath day.
