Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world.  Father, please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love.  Please fill my heart with mercy so that I may be forgiving with others just as you have been forgiving with me.  Father, I pray that you never remove your face from before me and that you continue to guide my feet along the path you have set, keeping them from turning to the right or the left.  Father, your love and your glory are my light, and I am forever grateful to you for filling my soul with your spirit, and bringing peace and love into my life.

Father, please help this nation return back to you.  Please end the political fighting that is occurring not only in this nation's capitol, but also in each state and even the homes.  Father, all this arguing is only leading people to focus their eyes on man and turn their attention away from you.  But you are mighty and just.  You are the only one who can end this childish bickering and turn the hearts of man back to you.  With an outstretched arm and a mighty hand you can deliver your children from a life of dread to a life of joy.  Your miracles and wondrous works can deliver mankind to your Kingdom and allow your blessings to rain down on all your children.  Father, you are the one who began the earth spinning on its axis.  You are the one who set the stars on their course.  You are the one who divided the heavens and the earth.  You are the one who keeps the sea from the land.  You are the one who created us out of dust, and who breathed life into our souls.  All our hope lies with you my God and may your glory shine on us all the days of our lives.

Blessed are you O Lord our God who with one breath can ease the pain and suffering in this world.

Amen!
