Dear Heavenly Father,

Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.

Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul.  Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world.  Father, please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love.  Please fill my heart with mercy so that I may be forgiving with others just as you have been forgiving with me.  Father, I pray that you never remove your face from before me and that you guide my steps along the path you have set, keeping them from moving to the right or the left.  You are the glory of all creation and the Lord of the Heavenly Host.  You are my protector, my creator, and my God.  Thank you for being there for me, and for accepting me into your Kingdom.

Father, we all have so many faults, yet you continue to redeem us.  You look past those things that are broken within us and you see the good in our hearts and our souls.  For it is you who hardens the hearts of the people.  It is you who raise up the wicked.  It is you who causes the judgment on the land.  You are the creator and potter of all life.  You made the earth turn on its axis, and set the stars on their course.  You are the first, and you are the last.  My Lord, who are we to ever question you, be angry with you, or to even stand in your presence.  Please Father, remove the haughtiness that lingers in my heart and accept my humble plea to simply sit at your table in your Kingdom for all eternity.  May your glory be the light in my soul forever.

Blessed are you O Lord our God who is full of grace and mercy, and whose glory lights the world.
