Dear Heavenly Father,
Praised are you my Lord and may your holy name be praised in the heavens above and on the earth below for ever and ever.
Thank you for bringing me to this day, for waking me and breathing life into my soul. Thank you for blessing me with one more day to spend with those I love and one more chance to be your light in this world. Father, please grant me the strength and the wisdom to walk in your word and to show your love. Please fill my heart with mercy so that I may be forgiving with others as freely as you have been forgiving with me. Father, I ask that you never remove your face from before me and that you continue to guide my feet along the path you have set, keeping them from turning to the right or the left. Your greatness is unsearchable and your glory directs my path. Just as you led Israel out from bondage, smoke by day and fire by night, you were always there, leading their way to a land you promised our ancestors. You brought your people to freedom, to a land they did not till, to orchards they did not grow, to vines they did not plant. You provided and you brought us to peace. Father, please continue to lead your people to the land of your promise, a land flowing with milk and honey, a place in your Kingdom.
Blessed are you O Lord our God who declares the righteous and lays low the wicked.
